A dummy guide to Internet MEME.

Let me start off by asking you this question: Do you know what a Meme is?
For those who don't know and are lazy to google, wiki states that a Meme is a term referring to a unit of cultural information transferable from one mind to another.
Using that as foundation of this new topic, today we will start off on Internet Meme.
We will begin with one of the most famous Meme of all times, the rickroll.

The rickroll is an internet Meme that involve the music video " Never gona give you up" by Rick Astley. A typical rickroll link will be something relevant to what you are actually searching for, but the link actually brings you to the video. For example, you can be googling about travel tips, and you click on this link called www.travelfun.com (not a real link) and it brings you to Rick Astley song.

It started in May 2007 when someone posted a link on 4Chan saying that it was the link to the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV. Many people clicked on that link and became the first victim of Rickroll. After that, it spreads like wildfire over the networld. So much so, it became an Internet Phenomenon. Fake emails with rickroll links soon began to pop out and websites disguising themselves as information websites is actually a video of "Never gona give you up" .

So folks, when you surf the net , be careful. Or you may be the next victim of Rickroll :)
